In December 2021, New Zealand Panels Group bought Christchurch-based Acero, and with that acquisition came the distribution rights for global laminate brand Wilsonart.
NZ Panels Group Chief Executive Lou Cadman said the Acero business, with its high profile brands such as Wilsonart was an ideal complement to the company’s existing panel and benchtop businesses which targeted the same joinery and fabrication customers.
With our NZ Panels Group specification team having strong relationships with leading architects and designers, and our merchant account managers dealing with fabricators and joiners throughout the country, we are confident we can support the Wilsonart brand in a more comprehensive way.
Sampling for Wilsonart has moved from Acero to NZ Panels Group samples team in Auckland and plans are underway for a total relaunch of the range supported by new display boards and folders.
